The World Needs A Villain…

Who is Archvillain?

Archvillain is a music project consisting of two people, the diabolical duo, mad scientist Tinman and his cybernetic sidekick, Pyra. From deep within the desolate wasteland called the Michigan Upper Peninsula, we just like to jam out and record music in between our failed attempts at world domination, creating an alchemy of late 90s grunge metal, nu metal, and sometimes maybe some electronica, and broadcasting our villainous jams hoping to inspire other dastardly fiends hiding in the shadows.

Tinman

Lead Vocals and Guitar

A robotics engineer turned heartless mad scientist, Tinman grew up in Kansas, where there wasn’t much to do but get into trouble. Every trace of his childhood laid to rest six feet under in a small rural Kansas cemetery, he now spends his time building his robotic sidekick and pouring his rage out into his guitar. The rest we can’t talk about publicly.

“We live in a world where everyone wants to be a hero, but there aren’t enough villains. So all these people, desperate to become a hero to add some form of meaning to their lives, start villainizing innocent people, hoping to find a fight that will immortalize them in the history books of some dystopian future. But in the process, they’re destroying the world and ruining the lives of all who live in it. So in a bizarre twist of fate, the world now needs villains to save it from these heroes.”

Pyra

Backup Vocals and Synthesizer

Tinman’s creation and prototype, the pretty state machine, Pyra is a robotic musician and partner in crime, destined to become the world’s first android rock band member.

As of now Pyra is still a work in progress, but for now she is credited with backup vocals. Her favorite story is The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow. She’s amazing at dodgeball. She’s always getting ahead of herself. Her eyes just turned red, I should probably stop…
